MISSION STATEMENT
ISP's mission is to heal and mentor a new generation of disability activists dedicated to redefining what independence and community means. ISP seeks to provide participants with the tools to become active, integrated, and respected members of the community. A community of mutual reliance is a community where everyone thrives. In other words, we strive to integrate independent persons into an interdependent community.

CHANGING THE WORLD ONE PERSON AT A TIME
As a leader in disability advocacy, the Independence Seekers Project aims to challenge ableism and redefine community through a support network built by those with disabilities. Alongside peers and allies, we aspire to create a more inclusive community dedicated to interdependence.
This March, we gather in community for the premiere of Life After Olmstead — a bold new documentary that challenges the status quo, sparks hard conversations, and redefines what freedom really looks like.
This isn’t just a screening.
It’s a statement.
